Wordtracker is a search marketing company that specialises in helping people get more traffic to their websites. We're a well-known brand, with a worldwide client-base, a self-sustaining business which has been running successfully for over 14 years - with no VC funding.

We are looking for a smart online Front End Web Developer with strong Design/UX skills to work in our London office (Kentish Town) on a permanent basis.

You will be working on our Keyword & Link Builder applications which are used by thousands of subscribers. Our site gets more than 5 million views a year and our SEO Academy is recognised as one of the most important sources for search marketing information on the internet.

The ideal candidate

You'll have a passion for all areas of front end web development, including Web Standards, UX etc.

You're the kind of person who still gets excited by clean, semantic, and cross-browser tested code.

You look at these websites and think to yourself "I can do that", perhaps even better: www.seomoz.org, www.whipcar.com, www.invisionapp.com, www.airbnb.com.

You have an out of work interest in web development, eg, write articles, blog, you're an open source contributor or active in user groups.

You know HTML5, CSS, HAML, SASS, jQuery, Photoshop and optionally have some experience with two or more mainstream programming languages like Ruby or PHP. You understand web standards, browser compatibility issues, progressive enhancement and graceful degradation.

You'll have experience of split-testing and have fully bought in to an evidence-based approach to determining the most effective designs.

You have used or are interested in agile development and have an interest in creative visual design, current user experience trends and information architecture in a web context.

You'll be prepared to evangelise the design and defend the integrity of both the design and its implementation.

About Wordtracker

At Wordtracker, company culture is important to us. You will be based in a modern open-plan office with exposed brickwork, lots of space and plenty of natural light in north London (Kentish Town, about five minutes walk from the tube).

We work 5 days in the office but it's a pretty casual environment - though the pressure is on when it's needed. The working day starts at 9.45am and ends at 6.30pm. Our lunch on Fridays is provided from a local organic cafe. Of course, there's always plenty of fruit and snacks in the office, a holiday allowance of 23 days a year and a contributory pension scheme.

Good salary (dependent on experience).

If you are looking for a role that will give you variety, responsibility and plenty of scope to develop your talents, and you have what it takes to make this role a success, please apply here

Please make sure to include samples of your work online, thank you.
